Art and culture
Trun is and was the birthplace and workplace of several important artists, for example the brothers Alois and Zarli Carigiet, Matias Spescha and the Zignau-based artist Fis Guldimann.
The murals by Alois Carigiet are ever-present in the village, including on his birthplace at the start of the village, which was badly damaged by a fire and is currently being restored.
The local „Museum Sursilvan Cuort Ligia Grischa“ holds a comprehensive collection of his works and those of other artists.
Thanks to Trun-Cultura, various cultural events take place in Trun on a regular basis.

Ogna - sculpture
Starting at Campadi Trun, you can admire around 70 sculptures by artists from the region and from all over the world along the „Senda d'Art“ art trail. Along the approx. 1.5 km path through the alder forest you will find unique objects made of stone, metal, wood and much more.
The art trail ends at the unique, walk-in sculpture „Ogna“ by the well-known artist Matias Spescha. A composition of light and shadow with metal sculptures inside, it forms a walk-in sound body without equal.
We are happy to help you arrange a guided tour to explore the varied art of Matias Spescha.

Senda d'art
The art trail along the Rhine in Trun extends for 1.5 km alongside the river. Artists from the region, but also from various parts of Switzerland and even from abroad, are represented with sculptures, statues and installations in wood, stone and iron. Our art trail also offers nature and exercise.
Access: open-air exhibition, free entry daily

Biking in the Surselva
Exploring the Surselva by bike… a unique experience!
On several hundred kilometres of marked bike trails you can enjoy the incomparable natural and cultural landscape of the Surselva, conventionally or with a „little“ support from an e-bike.
For example, the classic mountain-bike route Trun Talrunde, 12 km long, in about 2 hours.
And if the battery runs out, no problem! At Campadi Trun there is a charging station for e-bikes, which we offer our guests free of charge. We have various charging cables on site that we are happy to lend you.
Charging stations are also distributed across the whole Surselva, so you never run out of power on the way.

Hiking in the Surselva
For friends of nature and hiking, the Surselva has a lot to offer. Whether high into the mountains, along the Rhine or on pilgrimage on the Way of St James… there is much to experience in the Surselva.

Canoe, kayak, Canadian
Whatever you paddle, whether beginner or professional, we are the ideal starting point for your «water excursions».

Playground
50 m behind the short-stay camping area you will find the adventure playground of the municipality of Trun. Climbing, jumping, swinging: here you will find everything a child's heart desires. A barbecue area with firewood invites you to linger.
